What We Do
In homes. At schools, healthcare centers and churches — our staff is available to provide a range of services at all kinds of community sites and locations. We’ll come to where we’re needed.
MCPHD social workers and staff are committed to making sure Marion County residents receive optimum health outcomes, and we'll do all we can to improve the social, environmental, emotional and behavioral health needs of everyone.
Services are geared towards the prevention, early identification and alleviation of psychosocial issues — especially those that impact a resident’s ability to benefit from health care.
The Social Work Department provides individual and family counseling, case management, connection to resources, education, outreach and many more services.
The department is dedicated to our core functions and services, along with programs and services to the community — including Parenting Classes at the Indiana Women’s Prison and Safe Sitters to youth in the community. Our staff are trained to provide Psychological First Aid, as well as Crisis Management and Response for public health emergencies and disaster response.
