Tuberculosis (TB) Control
What We Do
We’re here to coordinate public nurse case management activities for everyone in Marion County with active or latent tuberculosis. Services of the Tuberculosis Program include:
- TB therapy at no cost to clients
- medication administration of directly observed therapy
- sputum collection
- assurance of appropriate care
- contact investigations
For area healthcare providers, the TB program provides expert advice, maintenance of all Marion County TB records, and monitoring of trends for outbreak and targeted testing purposes.
We also maintain the Tuberculosis and Refugee Care (T.A.R.C.) Clinic for TB follow-up of uninsured Marion County residents and newly arrived refugees.
Please note: we do not take walk-ins for TB tests. Schedule an appointment for a TB test here to call and visit a location near you.
