Our Vision + Mission

Our Vision

Healthy people and families living in healthy neighborhoods.

It’s that simple. That’s our vision for Marion County.

Our Mission

To promote physical, mental and environmental health; to prevent and protect against disease, injury and disability.

We believe the true mission of the Marion County Public Health Department can be maintained by sticking to our C.L.E.A.R. Values:

Community – We serve the people of Marion County and surrounding communities by centering local needs and elevating health outcomes.

Leadership – We foster leadership at every level and empower teams to think critically, act decisively, and lead change.

Excellence – We aim for excellence through data-driven decisions, performance improvement, and shared accountability.

Accountability – We break down silos and connect financial, clinical, and operational systems across the Corporation to function as one.

Respect – We create environments where all staff, patients, and community members feel seen, heard, and valued.
