Inspection Reports
What We Do
Our mission is to prevent food-related illnesses and to improve food safety practices in Marion County retail food establishments.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identifies foodborne illness risk factors most likely to contribute to foodborne illness. Violations in these categories may indicate poor retail food practices:
- Poor Personal Hygiene.
- Improper Holding Temperatures.
- Contaminated Equipment/Cross-Contamination.
- Improper Cooking Temperatures.
- Food from Unsafe Sources.
Violations are also designated as critical or non-critical, to reflect the severity of the violation — an inspection report with pages of violations may indicate the establishment lacks managerial control and a “food safety culture:”
We’re here to provide education, enforcement and interventions to eliminate these violations, and we provide these reports to help you make decisions about where to eat.
